With full disclosure in mind, I want to let everyone know that I just discovered that the forums have been breached.
There was a security patch released by vBulletin that addresses this. I had applied it immediately upon finding out about it, but it looks like during the time that the vulnerability existed on the forums someone took advantage of it.
By looking at what was installed onto the forums by the attacker, I'm fairly certain they made a copy of and walked away with the forum database. This includes posts, PMs, usernames, email addresses, and password hashes.
Though vBulletin does hash and salt the passwords, I'd recommend that everyone change their passords right away, especially if you use the same password here as you do elsewhere.
