    favorite FREE video editor for W10

    I had to rebuild my old PC with new W10 media. Microsoft no longer includes Movie Maker and it is no longer available for download from their support pages. I have tried a half-dozen video editors and frankly they all suck.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for a FREE video editor for W10?

    Yup. Give ShotCut a try. It's a little different, but there's a good video series on using it. Works great, it's fast, and flexible.
    Clip Clop.
    "Hello?"
    Clop Clip.
    "Who's there?"
    Clip Scuff.
    "You're a?"
    Whumpth Thud.

      If you need just simple cut and join functions (without recompression if done right) you can use AviDemux.
      My \"Trampled by Heavy Animals\" clip on YouTube are no more public. You have to get and save link to each clip to have access to it.

        Shotcut does what I need. Thanks. And as I'm not really doing a survey of products, I never tried AviDenux, but thanks for that as well.
